AOL upgrades free email

The free email service through AOL has been given an upgrade so that users will be able to have access to their other email accounts, such as Google and Yahoo Mail.

This will mean that users of AOL will have a one click access to their third party email accounts, making life on the road so much easier.

This is a serious point for AOL as they needed to offer some sort of access in order to keep their users coming back to use the AOL service as their primary email.

Other new options have also been introduced, such as the ability to personalise the look of the inbox and synchronise the account with the AOL Calendar and address book from mobile devices etc.

However, one factor that is important but not publicised too much is speed.

This version of AOL mail is supposed to be faster than ever.
