£20 broadband tax for all

“

Now customers of internet service providers could have to pay a new internet piracy tax.

The figure being talked about it £20 per year, but it is believed that this is by no means set in stone, and could change by the time it comes in.

To collect and manage this new tax on the people the Communications Minister, Lord Carter, proposes to create a new agency, which will work with the broadband industry and the music & film industry too.

As before, the ISPs will have to monitor those customers who are continuing to share copyrighted content and eventually their details will be passed onto the music and film industry representatives.

It is believed that at some point, if there is a need for a court order, the industry could then use this information to take out legal action.
