BBC HD going to iTunes

Fans of top BBC shows will soon be able to catch up with them in HD instead of the standard format, by downloading them from the Apple music and media store iTunes.

Although the announcement that the HD shows will be available on iTunes didn’t give a time frame, which is a bit difficult for users. First they are given hope and then it is taken away.

The BBC does already offer current content on iTunes but only in the standard format.

One thing to consider here is what is going to come first, BBC HD on iTunes or BBC HD on the iPlayer, which has proved to be extremely popular with users over the last year.
