TalkTalk customers suffering problems

Broadband users are experiencing problems with accessing emails and websites, with the internet service provider TalkTalk, part of the Carphone Warehouse.

The problems started with an outage of the company’s servers in Manchester, but quickly spread throughout the network, causing problems such as being blacklisted form popular websites such as PayPal, eBay, and Hotmail.com or Hotmail.co.uk.

The problems are not unified across the network as some customers are in fact unaffected, whereas there are those who cannot access some sites, but are able to get onto others.

The company says it is working on the email issue as a matter of priority and is working with the relevant websites to have the blocks removed, although a timetable has not been given as to when any of these issues will be sorted out.
