UK to get nano powered laptop
by David Allen

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the computer maker Samsung launched a new portable computer system using the VIA nano processor.
This has resulted in the UK release of the Samsung NC20, a low cost laptop that will be available from the BT Shop with a price tag of around £390, or with HSDPA at £417.
Features:
12.1-inch WXGA display
1.3GHz VIA Nano U225 processor
1GB of RAM memory
Storage capacity of 160GB
Integrated Bluetooth
3-in-1 card reader
1.3MP webcam
6-cell battery option
This is a machine that would appear to occupy the ground between the mini laptop and fully-fledged laptop.
It is ideal for consumers who wish to use a laptop without all of the unnecessary extras and costs, but do not want to go down the mini laptop route.

Still down as available for preorder though. Would be good to get a confirmation on shipping date. Although shouldn’t be too long now until we see the first NC20’s “out in the wild”.
