Acer has unveiled a quartet of smartphones aimed at consumers who use technology in both their professional and personal lives.
The first ever smartphones from the world’s third biggest PC maker – the M900, the F900, the x960, and the DX900 – are all powered by Windows Mobile.
The Acer M900 features a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with flash, HSDPA connectivity, GPS, and a fingerprint scanner for the security conscious.
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, Outlook Mobile email and Office Mobile all come pre-installed.
The F900 also features a 3.8inch WVGA touchscreen, but no pull-out QWERTY keyboard.
Also on board is a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash, GPS, FM-Radio, voice recorder, voice command, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, and expandable memory.
Acer’s X960 is an “all purpose tool” with a widget based user interface and 2.8-inch touchscreen.
Designed for navigation, the X960 comes with embedded GPS, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, and front-side camera for video calls.
The DX900 is a clone of E-Ten’s Glofish model of the same name. It is the world’s first ever smartphone to feature Dual-SIM, enabling personal and business communications from a single handset.
Features include a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, easy to navigate interface, and 3.2 megapixel camera with flash.
