I3 buys fibre rival

The I3 group had bought fibre optic manufacturing company Fibre Associates in a deal that is estimated to be worth around a £1 million.

I3 were formally known as H2O, whose primary business is laying fibre optic networks through the sewers of cities and towns, in order to provide a super fast broadband service.

The purchase will increase the range of products available to the company for future projects, like fibre optic cable and connectivity products.

This acquisition will help I3 produce innovative new products and will improve the supply chain within the organisation, as well as giving the company control over quality.

Fibre Associates will now begin to plan a relocation of the business to I3’s new distribution centre in North Wales.
