Mbile broadband provider, 3, has formed a partnership with one the UK’s leading trade only distributors of IT products, Target Components, to begin distribution of the 3 mobile broadband starter kits.
These kits provide a mobile broadband dongle, and 12 Gb worth of data usage.
This allowance would be enough to provide 120 hours of internet use, twelve thousand emails, 384 four minute long music video clips and sixty four-minute video clips.
Each kit will last for a maximum of one year after activation and once the initial credit has been used, additional credit can be bought.
It is believed that these mobile broadband starter kits will be provided with laptop purchases.
This is a reversal of the familiar offer where a laptop is provided to new mobile broadband customers.
Seeing as you are able to purchase 3GB, 12GB and 24GB starter kits directly from 3 already at £68.50, £97.86 and £107.86 respectively, lets hope they have some sort of special deal with 3 to purchase these at a cheaper cost and pass on their savings to potential customers, as these kits do not seem to be selling as well as first thought in this tough economical climate.
