Orange offers 20Mb broadband
by David Allen

Sometime during 2009 the internet service provider, Orange, will be introducing a service offering connection speeds of 20 Mbps, taking it onto the broadband providers’ leader board.
For Orange the future may not be built on a foundation of fixed line broadband, despite the fact that the Orange fixed line broadband network does not rely on the BT broadband network.
The future for Orange probably lies with the provision of mobile broadband services, as this relates more to its core business, although the next five to ten years will mean serious changes in the industry as a whole.
The 20 Mbps broadband service from Orange is just one of those new additions for users to choose from, what comes after that will probably depend on the success of the Digital Britain report.
