ITV HD available through Sky+ HD

Following the programmes guide upgrade to some Sky+ HD set top boxes it seems that ITV HD is available, if the customer manually tunes the channel into the system.

Digital Spy’s Sky+ HD forum says that to add ITV in HD to the programme guide, all a customer is required to do is access the Add Channels menu and enter the following settings:

11.427H, 2/3, 27500, channel 10510

The ITV HD service was launched last year as an exclusive service available for the viewers who are using the Freesat service.

This service was using a non standard stream then, in order to ensure that ITV HD was not available to non Freesat customers.

The new Sky+ HD programmes guide was downloaded to around thirty eight thousand set top boxes and will be rolled out to the rest of the HD boxes over the next few weeks.
