It has been estimated that thousands of BBC journalists will be going on strike next month with two days of industrial action.
The reason behind this decision is the fear of massive job losses across the board.
The BBC World Service’s South Asian section and even staff at the offices of BBC Scotland are believed to be at risk.
The strikes will be taking place on Friday the 3rd April and Thursday the 9th April.
These days of industrial action will affect the news on TV, satellite, radio and the internet.
There are four thousand members of the National Union of journalists (NUJ) working at the BBC.
Eleven hundred took part in the vote on industrial action with seventy seven per cent voting in favour.
