Church email sunk by worm

The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, is no stranger to technical issues as he was the person who complained about the alien battle in Manchester Cathedral on the ‘Resistance’ game for the playstation.

Now it seems that he has a problem with email, caused by a suspected malware infection.

It is estimated that the diocese’s email system may have been having problems for some time, after an audit.

It was found that a large proportion of the six thousand emails sent over the past ten months might not have got through.

This latest problem means that the diocese has been without email access for ten days, which is a bit of problem considering that the Bishop is the Church of England’s communications spokesperson.
