Travelodge yesterday launched iBooker, a GPS-based room booking application for the 3G iPhone.
Business and leisure travellers will be able to use iBooker to find Travelodge accommodation in three easy steps.
Once installed, users simply press the Travelodge logo on their phone and the handset will automatically find rooms and prices for the five nearest Travelodge hotels.
Users can then select which room they’d like to book.
The software can also be used without GPS to book rooms in any Travelodge hotel simply by typing in the hotel name and arrival date.
Guy Parsons, Travelodge UK managing director, said: “We are delighted to be the UK’s first hotel brand to launch a free GPS based iPhone application.
“With the Travelodge iBooker service, wherever you are, you can always find a bed for the night.”
iBooker is available for free download from the iTunes app store. Travelodge rooms are priced from £19 per night.
