Sky TV has been showing a short film on its vision of the digital home in 2012.
It’s a way of demonstrating to the trade the shape of things to come.
The company is using the IPTV World Forum at London’s Olympia to show the film for the first time in public.
It shows an average family, with two computers and three TVs, having Sky+ and Sky broadband installed by an engineer.
Another idea shows the family with multiple set top boxes but using a shared planner.
This would allow the whole family to access recorded programmes and view them, as and when they please, though their own Sky+ equipment.
A final concept displayed is the ability to transfer recorded or on-demand content to a mobile device.
