Credant named “champion” in data encryption market
by CREDANT Technologies
CREDANT Technologies, a market leader in data protection solutions, today announced that European independent IT analyst firm Bloor Research has found that CREDANT has made significant gains in the two markets it serves and is building on that momentum.
In its latest market updates, Bloor classifies CREDANT as a “champion” in the data encryption market and an “innovator” in the enterprise data protection market.
In comparison to last year, CREDANT’s position moved significantly closer to the center, representing very high scoring across categories in 2009.
“While protecting over five million devices worldwide, we’ve proven that our solutions are robust with features, easy to use and a must-have in the increasingly compliant-centric world we live in,” said Michael Callahan, CREDANT Technologies, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
“Our patented, data centric, policy-based, centrally-managed software continues to deliver solutions to our customers and lead the market.”
The Bloor report emphasizes the importance of these services in a difficult economy.
Bloor Research Analyst Nigel Stanley believes that “thinking strategically and preventing data loss, organizations will be better placed to ride out the current recession,” and that encryption services should be “very high on any IT security professional’s agenda.”
“We are seeing the Enterprise Data Protection market mature as leading vendors such as CREDANT enhance their offerings and start to deliver solutions that really address the issue of protecting organizational data.
“It is exciting to see how vendors have stepped up to the mark and have begun to solve this complex problem, ” said Nigel Stanley, Practice Leader of IT Security at Bloor Research.
