Pronto! UC suite adds HD voice calls

Voice calls on unified communications (UC) software Pronto! have been upgraded to high definition (HD).

Pronto!’s owners, CommuniGate Systems, have agreed a deal with Global IP Solutions (GIPS) to use GIPS HD VoiceEngine to power voice communications in Pronto!.

Simon Paton, CommuniGate UK’s managing director, said: “With GIPS superior engineering skills, we are able to deliver on the promise of a truly business grade UC experience.”

Web 2.0 software Pronto! provides users with a single sign-in interface for all forms of communications, including email, presence, IM, VoIP, Rich Media, and Mobility.

It works in web browsers with the Adobe Flash Player, and on the desktop with Adobe AIR.

The software is designed to be modified by carriers

Carriers can expand the software, add new applications (such as VideoMail, IPTV, or video-on-demand), and build a virtual mobile office for business subscribers.
