Roaming charges exposed
by David Allen

Using mobile broadband abroad can cost the user an awful lot of money, as we have seen in the past with stories of bills that run into thousands of pounds.
In study carried out by Broadband-Expert it was found that there is a lot of variation in the amount of money that mobile broadband providers are charging customers who access the internet through their service, while travelling abroad.
The cost are shown as varying from £3.94 per Mb down to a reasonable 20p per Mb, but this is only applicable if the customer’s daily data allowance is used up completely.
This works out at £9.99 for 50 Mb per day with Vodafone.
It turns out that Vodafone is the cheapest, and the most expensive mobile provider to use while travelling is Orange.
