Mobile operator Camel Wireless has launched a new Camel Dual IMSI SIM card that offers free international roaming in 51 countries, including the USA.
The SIM card has a dual identity – providing both a +44 UK mobile phone number, and a +1 USA mobile phone number.
Calls to either number can be received almost anywhere in the world, with no inbound charges to the +44 number in the USA, the European Union, South Africa, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Inbound charges in these countries to the +1 number are 24p per minute.
Outbound calls in the EU and the USA are charged at EU zone rates, from as little as 20p per minute.
This is compared to other operators who charge as much as £1.75 per minute for calls from the USA to the EU.
In the USA, the Camel Dual IMSI SIM roams on both T-Mobile and AT&T, giving increased nationwide coverage.
The Camel Dual IMSI SIM will be available from mid-May, priced £29.99 with £10 airtime credit included.
Postage is free to anywhere in the world.
