Tiscali’s 100,000 IPTV customers
by David Allen

By the end of the fourth quarter of 2008 the struggling internet service provider had signed up around one hundred thousand customers to its broadband based TV service, Tiscali TV.
This is around half of the target set by the company.
The Italian based company has already closed down its IPTV service in Italy but has always said that there are no plans to close down the UK IPTV service, at the present time.
While there have been no figures available from the company about the progress they have been making, the regulator Ofcom released its latest report, the Digital Television Update for Q4 -2008.
This report included broadband internet TV services and Tiscali’s subscriber figures have become known.
Why the company opted to keep quiet about this is anyone’s guess, but 100,000 customers is not bad.
