BHF links stores with broadband

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has embarked on a huge broadband project, as it plans to link up the six hundred stores that make up its retail business.

Until now, the BHF has relied on the standard telephone line to connect the stores to the head office and other departments but this, as many large organisations can testify, can be unreliable on occasions.

In order to ensure that communications are at their best, the BHF is installing its own virtual private network.

This will connect all of the stores and other departments securely and safely.

The network is being supplied and managed by an external provider, which is a cost effective way of getting this sort installation up and running within a short period of time.
