The UKTV channel “Dave” is celebrating the return of the comedy sci-fi show “Red Dwarf” with record audience figures.
The channel had commissioned the production of a brand new mini series, “Red Dwarf: Back to Earth”, which was shown over the Easter holidays starting on Good Friday.
The series had all of the same spirit that made it a success, with all of the original stars, who took up their positions as if they had never been away.
The fans thought so too, as the first episode aired on Good Friday at 9pm attracted eleven per cent of the viewing public – around 2.3 million people.
The final figures will be different though as the time shifted figures still have to be added to the total, but for a channel like “Dave”, this has been a great coup.
