Freesat to get NHK

The free to view satellite broadcaster Freesat has just announced that it will be adding the international news service NHK World TV on the 21st April, as it attempts to beef up the content available through the free satellite service.

The NHK World TV service is the international brand of the Japanese national broadcaster NHK, which broadcasts news to over eighty countries around the world from the perspective of Japan and Asia.

As with other new channels it will be added automatically to the Freesat set top box or tuners that are already installed into TV sets, so there is no need for users to do anything at all to receive this or any other new channel that gets added to the Freesat service.
