New viewing cards for sky customers

Sky has started changing over ten million Sky viewing cards to a newer version in a procedure that is expected to take a few months to complete.

Sky customers are already being alerted to the changeover through on screen advertising and no doubt through the Sky magazine that is due out anytime now.

When the card arrives at the customers’ home, it will be accompanied by full instructions on how the customer can replace the old card with the new one.

However Sky has also put up a page on its website that will take the customer through a step by step guide.

It is understood that this is a routine procedure and that there are no issues with security or access.

There are around 9.2 million Sky customers, with a further 1.7 viewing cards being issued to multi room customers.
