Miniweb Interactive has entered into a partnership with MPP, to integrate MPP’s iPay Developer eCommerce payment solution into its interactive TV platform.
Warrington-based Miniweb enables internet video, interactivity and targeted, web-style advertising on TV.
The integration of MPP’s solution will allow network operators, TV device manufacturers and content owners to deliver payment services to TV viewers through broadband connected TV devices.
Viewers will be able to pay for goods, services, music and video subscription, easily and securely.
They will also be able to take part in competitions and voting.
iPay Developer uses MPP’s eWallet technology, allowing customers to make repeat purchases with one press of a button.
A support console provides instant snapshots of account statistics, account history, number of subscribers, and reporting for data mining and analysis.
Andrew Carver, the CEO of Miniweb Interactive said: “With broadcast and broadband converging, viewers will no longer have to go to a PC or phone to purchase something they’ve just seen on TV”.
