Orange mobile broadband flies

Orange is claiming that the number of new customers for mobile broadband dongles has increased by a massive five hundred per cent in the past year.

This huge rise in customers takes the provider’s mobile broadband customer base to 3.8 million.

However, these are not strictly all mobile broadband customers as it seems that the 3.8 million is made up of both mobile broadband dongle users and customers using a 3G enabled mobile handset.

More customers means more mobile data and Orange is currently looking at a 108 per cent increase in data downloaded over the same period last year.

Orange also reports that search engine activity has increased by 120 per cent, with 45 per cent leaving the portal following search results.
