Although the takeover of the internet service provider Tiscali has been on the cards for a while, it seems that the deal agreed between the Carphone Warehouse and the Italian telecom firm has got Tiscali customers worried about what will happen in the future.
The concerns include the issue of targeted advertising technology Phorm, contracts, and change in services.
In order to answer these concerns the managing director of TalkTalk, Wendy Becker, has taken the unusual step of releasing a blog post.
On the subject of Phorm, the answer is simple, TalkTalk customers do not have Phorm yet and if such a service is to be introduced the details will be announced well in advance of any introduction.
All Tiscali contracts will be binding after the takeover, but the deal itself has to be passed by the EU before it can go ahead.
