Queen offered Gold Wii

It is not unusual to see gold and diamonds being used to cover everyday products such as phones, computers and games consoles.

These are normally found in the homes of celebrities who have more money than they can spend.

However, probably one of the last places you would expect to find one of these products is Buckingham Palace, but the game maker THQ has other ideas and is offering the Queen the opportunity to get into gaming with her very own gold plated Nintendo Wii.

Obviously there are going to be people out there who are also going to want one of these machines, but there is no indication that this is likely to become a regular item, although it is always worth checking eBay, and if a gold plate Wii turns up on there, we will know where it came from.
