Sky talk’s screenings

It is a busy time in the US at the moment as all of the major studios are organising screenings, so that buyers from the various broadcasters can see what’s on offer and decide which shows will fit in where on their network.

One such buyer is Sarah Wright, Head of Acquisitions at Sky One.

She has been watching the screenings and considering what the US audience is watching before she decides on signing up a new series.

Sky One has a good background in finding great new shows and the ones that get away, only to become a hit with other broadcasters, are simply hijacked by Sky One because of the resources that BSkyB has.

This has happened with successful shows such as “24”.
