Clavister launches InControl security management

Clavister today launched InControl, a security management system that enables IT departments to manage, optimise and deliver large scale, complex security services.

InControl allows organisations to centrally manage up to 10,000 Clavister Security Gateways with up to 100 concurrent administrators.

The solution offers full control for businesses that need to manage international or geographically dispersed networks.

Andreas Asander of Clavister claimed InControl enables organisations to make “substantial cost savings”.

“Clavister InControl does not require any additional appliances or large, up-front investments which makes it an affordable solution for our customers,” Asander said.

InControl features include domain-based policy management, which simplifies the management of large installations; built in AAA (authentication, authorisation and audit) support, which forces administrators to authenticate themselves, and only allows them access to areas of the system they are authorised to manage; and delegated management, which allows administrators to assign different admin rights to staff.

It also includes an alarm centre, configuration consistency control, real-time monitoring, and schema-based architecture.
