Faster iPhone available soon
Amidst rumours that a new iPhone is on the way, a faster iPhone with an improved camera and video system has been unveiled.

Good news for those who just want an iPhone, the current version saw its price lowered in response to a much lower $99 for the 8GB model.

Since its launch in 2007 the iPhone has been sold in over 80 countries with about 21 million mobile devices sold.

Apple held a whopping 10 percent of the Smartphone global market last quarter.

The new model is titled the iPhone 3G S and will be released in the UK on June 19th.

Pricing is not yet available for the UK, but in the US the 16GB version will list for $199 and the 32GB for $299.

The S in the iPhone 3G S stands for speed, which the new mobile device is hailed to have along with voice control, better battery life, and a digital compass.

While it may be more powerful, the iPhone 3G S is also going to include an autofocus three megapixel camera and a ‘tap to focus’ additional feature.

In video mode it will also allow users to directly post video clips to email or YouTube.

Apple is also releasing the iPhone 3.0 operating system, which is available for download to all current iPhone owners of any model.

It will include a copy and paste function as well better parental controls.

Apple also used the occasion to preview its “Snow Leopard” Mac operating system which is expected in September and will rival the new release of Windows 7 operating system.

Palm Pre is expected to be the largest competition to the iPhone mobile, and will be released later in the year in the UK. It is also a touch screen mobile.
