If consumers took notice of the mobile broadband marketing schemes, they could be forgiven for thinking that they could get a fast broadband connection no matter where they are located, in some cases faster than fixed line broadband can provide in certain areas.
Therefore, it is interesting to see that the broadband research firm, Epitiro, has come up with the UK’s average mobile broadband speed, after performing over 1.4 million tests from various locations around the UK, and it a low 0.9 Mbps.
As this is an average speed and considering that there are some locations, mainly cities, where 7.6 Mbps can be achieved, this will mean that at the other end of the scale there are users who are getting very low speeds indeed.
