Communications Minister Quits

The government’s communications minister Lord Carter has become the latest member of Gordon Brown’s government to resign.

Stephen Carter was recruited by the Prime Minister to be the driving force behind the UK’s broadband for all drive.

Not being a politician he became yet another member from the upper house to join the government, just eighteen months ago.

It is understood that the now Lord Carter will leave the government next month when parliament goes into the summer recess.

With the final Digital Britain report being published tomorrow, this latest resignation will put even more pressure on the government.

What now for Lord Carter?

Well there is the matter of an unfilled vacancy over at ITV!

However, given the sort of information that he knows about the BBC and future broadcasting plans, such a move would prove to be highly controversial.
