Bing included on Bloxx SafeSearch

Web filtering service Bloxx has added Microsoft’s new search engine, Bing, to its SafeSearch list.

IT managers can now use Bloxx to enforce the SafeSearch facility on Bing, protecting users from harmful and inappropriate results.

Bing’s video search allows users to view online videos in a preview mode that circumnavigates most web filters – leading most web filtering services to block Bing.

Bloxx, however, blocks users from viewing or accessing offensive content on Bing’s video preview mode while allowing access to Bing’s legitimate search results.

Bing, launched by Microsoft earlier this month, aims to become the world’s favourite search engine, ahead of Google.

Since launch, it has already overtaken Yahoo to become the second most used search engine in the world.
