The cable broadcaster, Virgin Media, will be rolling out the channel ‘Living’ in HD later on in the year, as part of the broadcaster’s plan to boost cross platform strategies.
Living HD is the start of the high definition rollout of all seven of the broadcaster’s channels.
Living is getting priority because it is a strong channel when compared with rivals and even with others within the Virgin Media group.
It is believed that the same treatment for Bravo and Challenge have been delayed because of the current economic climate, leaving the investment to be made in Living initially, although Virgin Media says that if the cash was available it could have spent up to £30 million on the seven channels that are also currently up for sale.
