Its official, mobiles are too complicated
In the face of a rash of Smartphone releases, including the iPhone 3G S, Nokia N86, and the Nokia 97, a new survey shows that 60% of UK consumers actually believe that mobiles have become too complicated with too many extra unnecessary features.

Fonebank completed the survey which also revealed that about a third of those surveyed actually look for a new mobile based on the simplicity of the device, while a third simultaneously also reported they do not look at the camera quality and 45% are not concerned with Mp3 capabilities.

The survey included 1000 people throughout the UK who voted the Motorola AX as the best UK mobile phone to be invented and 73% reported that they thought their current phones are less reliable than those of the past.

Yet, 72% reported that they upgraded their mobile sets before two years expired maximum which still shows in interest in current mobile technology.

According to the survey, about half of the respondents said they only need and use their mobiles for text messaging and phone calls.

Mark Harrision the director of Foneband commented that as much as companies think consumers care about the specific megabits and pixels, generally the overall population is just concerned with finding a simple mobile that allows them to make and receive phone calls and text message.
