Subscribers to Sky Broadband may notice some changes to their broadband service, as the internet service provider is increasing the top speed of its broadband service in the areas where it has installed local loop unbundled equipment.
All of Sky’s three packages will be affected.
Sky Broadband base will still be free with Sky Talk, offering an up to 2 Mb broadband connection and a cap of 2 Gb.
This remains the same as before, although customers will receive three months free security cover instead of twelve months.
Sky Broadband Mid is to be known as Sky Broadband Everyday.
Users can expect an up-to-10 Mbps service, usage cap will drop to 40 Gb to 10 Gb, the security package will be free for three months and the cost will remain £5 per month plus Sky Talk charges.
Sky Broadband Max will change to Sky Broadband Unlimited, offering an up-to-20 Mbps service, unlimited data use and the security package is free for twelve months.
