Cumbria takes switchover in its stride

The digital switchover has taken place in Cumbria, and for some viewers this will be the first time that they are able to experience the benefits of digital television.
However, those viewers who have already installed digital TV equipment will need to retune their Freeview set top boxes to receive the signal from the new transmitter at Caldbeck.
Terrestrial TV services will have been off the air for a short period during the night, but now the switchover has taken place the world of digital TV is available at the viewers’ finger tips, provide that they have invested in the right equipment.
By now all of the terrestrial channels will have been turned off, and there are some viewers that will need to retune their equipment.
However, this is a simple procedure that should only take a few minutes to complete.
