Complaints regarding broadband fall

by David Allen

It seems that consumers are complaining less now about their broadband and phone services than they did at the same time last year, according to the phone and broadband watchdog, Ofcom.

Yet already, despite these claims, there are some doubts as to whether or not any comparison can be made, simply because of the state of the UK economy.

It would appear that many complaints regarding these services occur during the home moving process and as this market has slowed, so have the complaints to Ofcom.

The main issues that consumers have with their broadband and phone service are switching broadband services, mis-selling of services, charges, and companies making silent calls to consumers.

Ofcom also released figures showing that consumers asking their internet service provider for a MAC code have gone down by half, compared with the same period last year.
