The amount of video being watched online by UK consumers has increased by a massive forty seven per cent over the past year, according to comScore.
It is a bit of a mixed bag as to what sort of content is being viewed, but it is YouTube that still remains on top with a massive fifty eight per cent increase in viewings.
The BBC comes in second and the iPlayer definitely boosts the BBC’s figures which are showing a sixty seven per cent increase, although credit has to be given to ITV which has seen a massive hundred and two per cent increase in video viewings.
The increase in online video viewings must have something to do with broadband speeds and as the speeds increase, it has to be assumed that online video figures will increase too.
