ntl:Telewest launches IP VPN service for overseas calls

ntl:Telewest Business, which is part of the Virgin Media Group, has launched an international IP VPN service in partnership with BT Wholesale, its global network partner.

The new service will enhance international connectivity for UK companies, and will offer the same assurances to international sites as those offered by the UK service, including online management and Service Level Agreements.

Extending these capabilities internationally was achieved using network to network interfaces.

Customers will utilise ntl:Telewest Business’s Next Generation Network for their requirements within the UK, and will be able to link seamlessly with the international offering.

Paul Harding, product manager, ntl:Telewest Business said:

“We are still a UK company focused on the needs of UK-only businesses, but we also have to support the ambitions of companies that operate internationally, whether that is multiple locations abroad or perhaps just one office.

“The new service offers businesses the best of both worlds – integration to international network services, with the peace of mind that they will continue to have access to a high level of customer service”.

Both the UK and international services can be monitored via an online portal.
