Mobile Commerce, a provider of mobile location and search services in the UK, announced yesterday that it will launch a new service in the United States called the Monetised Search service.
It will be the first time that Mobile Commerce enters the US market, with Taptu taking the position as the first US company to sign up to use the product.
The Monetised Search service gives publishers control over how they want to tailor a search experience for users that can be integrated with the publisher’s own portal search query results.
It also optimises content to be read properly via the use of mobile internet.
Also included in the search results is a full list of on-line reports that provide publishers with usage metrics, analysis, popular search terms, and common misspellings of searches on the internet so that publishers can guess at search terms correctly.
A general usage report contains all vital information for the publisher including advertiser position, click types, top search terms, and the origin and time of search.
CEO of Mobile Commerce, Steve Page, said that the company is excited and proud to launch its new product in the US market and that it is delighted that Taptu which is also a UK client, recognised the value of the service for its US customers.
The Monetised Search service is just one of many innovations that are on the way with the mobile internet revolution, as a new study reported that only 5% of all UK retailers have custom mobile commerce sites, leaving room for plenty of mobile commerce advancement.
In fact, lack of a mobile commerce website for a specific company is half the reason why consumers use search engines on their mobile devices to help navigate to the proper location.
