Virgin Media pushes Channel 4 HD
Virgin Media announced that as of today Channel 4 HD will be available to subscribers to the cable TV network.

The announcement came yesterday that Channel 4 HD will become part of the digital Virgin Mobile television line-up with the same level of upscale high definition programming as all other offerings.

Since the announcement a Virgin Media spokesperson confirmed that it will be available tomorrow in position 146 on EPG.

Viewers will not have to pay any additional fees to receive the channel.

Today, Virgin Media also added three new HD channels to its digital cable line-up that previously were only included in its XL package, FX HD, MTVNHD, and National Geographic HD.

Viewers who subscribe to Virgin Media digital cable will now have access to shows such as Desperate Housewives, Shameless, and Skins.

In the future, Channel 4HD may also become available on Freesat, now that Sky no longer has the exclusive rights to the channel.

4HD is also due to come to Freeview HD once the service becomes available.
