Barack Obama the US President can expect a letter from forty UK members of parliament, asking him to step in and stop the UFO hunting hacker, Gary McKinnon, from being extradited.
This move follows the rejected appeal that was believed to be last chance for the British legal system to put an end to these extradition proceedings.
As this has failed, it would seem that unless the US President steps and puts a stop to it, this case is going to move forward.
There many cases for and against the extradition, and the main case against is that bacuse of McKinnon’s mental health issues, his human rights would be breached by the process.
But then there is the issue that he hacked into military computers just after the 11th September 2001, a sensitive date in US history.
If a court case goes ahead in the US, it is not likely to be before spring of next year.
