Orange has launched a new mobile broadband tariff at under £5 per month.
The £4.89 per month 18-month contract is only available to current Orange customers, and includes a 500MB monthly download allowance and a free Huawei E160e USB dongle.
Download speeds on the tariff are up to 3.6Mbps.
Orange said the cut-price contract is aimed at light users and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to expanding its mobile broadband portfolio.
Any Orange customers on a pay-as-you-go or monthly Orange contract can take advantage of the deal.
The network also launched a new “Early Bird” tariff, which provides unlimited mobile browsing between midnight and 9am.
Early birds, and night owls can sign up for a 12-month contract, including a 1GB, 3GB or 10GB daytime allowance, starting at £13 per month.
“We are committed to building our mobile broadband portfolio so that it provides customers with a range of flexible solutions to suit the lifestyle they choose,” said Asif Aziz, director of broadband and home at Orange.
“We also want to ensure that we reward existing Orange customers, and believe that, by offering them the cheapest pay monthly mobile broadband on the market, we really do offer great value for money.”
