Browsers attacked by ransomware

It seems that ransonware is a popular way of extorting cash from computer users.

The infected machine will keep receiving a pop up message that can only be removed if the user pays up.

It was thought that the issue was mainly with Internet Explorer, but it seems that both Firefox and Opera are being affected too.

One such example of this ramsonware is the Trojan.Ranasompage infection.

Users who have been unlucky enough to be infected with this program will find that every web page that they visit will cause a pop up and switching browsers will not help either.

However there is a very simple way of getting rid of ransonware.

It is designed to last for thirty days, so the victim should be able to get rid of it from the system by changing the settings on system clock by moving it forward by a month.
