Bloxx announced that its web filtering appliances are now in use by the New Forest National Park Authority to help protect users while they browse the internet and to help protect the organisation’s network from security risks.
The Authority compared the filters by Bloxx to their pre-existing web filters and decided that Bloxx was able to offer a greater level of functionality, and flexibility, allowing the organisation to better manage the way it accesses the Internet at a better price as well.
IT Manager Paul Fleetwood of the Authority stated that in just one year’s time, use of the Bloxx filtering system allowed the Authority to better manage usage policies among staff members and offered flexibility so that the perimeters that each staff member received could be tailored to fit each user and departments needs.
He added that they can also now change settings and blocked URLS in real time as well as review automated reports so that everything the IT team needs to manage the users’ internet is always available.
In turn Fleetwood said this allows him to make intelligent decisions about where more protection may be needed.
In other news, Bloxx has recently appointed a new UK Enterprise Sales Manager, Martin Hallett to offer sales expertise to the company.
Other tasks that the company hopes Hallett will be able to help out with include support of enterprise accounts that will help Bloxx continue to grow as the company has planned.
Harlett joins Bloxx after 25 years of working with other IT publishers including West Coast Labs and SC Magazine.
