Although a new survey by ISP Lumison discovered that 75% of Britons could last 24 hours without a mobile device, it turns out that after 24 hours, lack of a mobile for communication could cause serious withdrawal symptoms.
This is so serious that over 62% of those who were surveyed would give up chocolate in exchange for their mobiles, 23% would stop drinking, and an amazing 8% would give up sex if it meant keeping the mobiles.
Translated, this means seven out of every ten people in the UK would give up their vices in order to keep a mobile line.
Thus, women may want to consider cutting the mobile line instead of the path to the bed if they are trying to make a point in a relationship!
Out of those surveyed, 10% did not think they could make it five minutes without their mobile, 18% thought they could last an hour without their mobile, 16% stated four hours was the limit, and 20% felt they could last a day.
Only 7% of those polled thought they could live without owning a mobile device.
With results such as these, there may be a new support group on the horizon, mobile anonymous for those with mobile addiction.
The survey also showed that standard post may be a relic of the past with 62% reporting they have not mailed a letter within a month and 19% reporting they had not mailed a letter in five years.
