TalkTalk goes for put-pocketing
by David Allen

Whatever anyone thinks of TalkTalk, the company has to be applauded for innovative marketing plans, including the fantastic light show adverts on TV.
However, that is nothing compared with the latest scheme.
Most people know what pick pocketing is, therefore put-pocketing is the opposite – instead of taking something out of a innocent persons pocket, TalkTalk have hired a team of ex-pickpockets to put something nice into the pockets of unsuspecting bystanders.
The team of twenty ex-pickpockets have been dispatched to London and will be at the following locations during August: Leicester Square, Oxford Circus, Covent Garden, Westminster, Trafalgar Square and the South Bank.
The pickpockets sneak up to their victims and place anything from £5 to £20 in the pocket of the victim along with a card saying where the cash has come from.
