Streamezzo and Telemak strike deal
Streamezzo and Telemak announced a partnership on Wednesday that will allow Telemak’s Mobile TV Applications to be enriched and made compatible with all of the major mobile operating, including Windows Mobile, Symbian, Linux, iPhone, Blackberry, Java, and Android.

Telemak developed the mobile television application and solution with the aid of the cross platform technology framework of Streamezzo.

The framework allowed Telemak developers to avoid porting with the new application.

The new Mobile TV application will work against most popular networks and protocols including EDGE, EVDO, Wi-FI, UMTS, GPS, and CDMA.

Founder and CEO of Telmak, Christophe Lenaerts, said that the move marks a major achievement in what Telemak is able to offer in term of its mobile television application.

He continued to say that with the aid of the framework of Streamezzo, Telemak customers will benefit by increasing the number of subscribers to their services, allowing for larger sales returns.

The partnership of the two companies is one that is likely to be replicated between many platform technology groups and application developers, as the ARCcahrt recently valued the mobile platform market at $72 million with an expected growth rate of over 80% by 2013.

Samsung also partnered with Streamezzo for use of its Internet portal when it came to the TouchWiz touch screen application.

Touchwiz is now able to run on any mobile phone by the company that has a touch screen interface.
