The US video on demand (VoD) service, Hulu, has been having tough talks with the UK commercial broadcaster ITV, but it seems that there could now be some light at the end of the tunnel, in fact a deal could be announced as early as next week.
However, this is not going to be the deal that brings Hulu to the UK, as it is rumoured that the VoD service is looking at one more deal with a major UK broadcaster in order for it to be able to offer a full service.
The final part of the Hulu jigsaw is the BBC, or rather the commercial division of the corporation, BBC Worldwide.
With a deal with the BBC anticipated, it is unlikely that the initial planned launch of Hulu in September will now take place and in fact, a 2010 launch is more likely.
